Week #97, August 29, 2016

Haitians are such great people!!

Hello Parents!!

this week has been so great. i cannot believe its monday again! so much happened but its hard to remember it all! we had lots of lessons this week and we found several people that want to change their life!! im happy that Heavenly Father is blessing us so much! my comp elder franco is a cool guy! i actually knew him when i was in San Antonio. so its funny that we are companions now. hes kind of a more quiet laid back person. thats probably good im with him because i think i need to calm down sometimes haha. im so happy you met elder darton!!! I LOVE HIM. i cant wait to hang out. i heard that our families are going to have a bbq when i get home along with elder farahs family??
at the beginning of the week i kind of felt like a retard because i almost forgot how to teach! haha but by tuesday evening i felt more comfortable and we are doing great now. i love being bold about gospel truths and i love promising blessings to those that keep the commandments. and that has made me think a lot about my own testimony. i asked myself alot this week if i really believed everything that we were testifying of. and im so thankful to say that i do believe it. i think its so important to live what you are teaching and im thankful that we have the Atonement of Jesus Christ to strengthen us in our weaknesses. these last couple weeks of my mission im going to take advantage of this as much as i can. i want to wear myself out in the service of the Lord and i want to give Him my all. Mom and Dad i owe everything to both of you and i feel so blessed to have worthy righteous parents. there are so many people in the world that dont have that. in my book of mormon i have a family picture of us and i love showing it to everybody. i hope you have a great week and read the book of mormon every day! the book of mormon is so necessary to stay truly converted. i have seen that so much recently. i testify that Christ lives and that it does not matter who we have been or what we have done in our lives, everyone can repent and receive forgiveness. look for ways this week to exercise your faith and uplift others to live the commandments of God. I love you both so much.
love colton

a MTC missionary and i did divisions for a few hours this past week! its so weird bc he is bradys age and has basically the same time as brady in the mission. so i kinda felt like i was with my brother!! it was great! haha
