Week #55, November 10, 2015

New Area: Republica
5th companion: Elder Lastra from Peru and Spain

BUENAS. Hey mom ha well shoot you already know everything that happened to me then huh? yeah i got changed! and i totally predicted where i was going too! i ate lunch with the moreira family 2 sundays ago and his grandparents were there, and i told them, alright we´ll see each other when i go to your 
ward! and thats exactly what happened! hahahaha im in the zone Republica and the ward Parque O´Higgins (o higgins park) and its pure city! im in downtown santiago and its a bunch a buildings, people, and smoke! haha its really different here, but its really cool too! we live on the 16th floor! i cant wait for earthquakes! hahah and behind our apartment i have the most beautiful view of ohiggins park and the city and THE MOUNTAINS (when they are visible) I LOVE IT. and my comp is a really good friend and he speaks english too so don't worry, he will love the ensign! his name is Elder Lastra and is from peru but live in spain for 10 years and now his family is there in barcelona!! and he is in his 4th change! we get along really well! MIRACLE hahah and he loves anime and asian things haha. but we have a great time and we are loving it here! today we got together with the zone to play volleyball, i needed that so bad! i love volleyball! and yes im a district leader but i didnt want you guys to know that. its not a big deal, i just call people and teach a class. but overall im very happy with the change and im content being here :) 

we had a really cool experience on sunday, we were contacting forever and nobody wanted to let us in until finally a family did. there are 5 brothers and sisters adults that live in this house and we were talking about who we are and what God wants us to be and to have. and the coolest thing happened. me and elder Lastra were testifying of Christ and His Gospel and the man looked at us and said, i believe you guys, and you know why? because i can see it in your eyes. you aren't lying, and you are here to help our family. it was so so so cool! i loved that. we were helping out another companionship in their sector so sadly im probably not going to go back to see that man, but im very grateful for that experience. i was reading in preach my gospel this morning and i loved something i read, talking about how we as missionaries should always look to plant seeds and so that missionaries in the future find them. we should always be looking for ways to share the gospel, even if its not us who will see the results. a lot of times, the results aren't immediate, but that shouldn't keep us from sharing what we know. right now life is really good! I'm happy, happy, happy and stressed at the same time, but that's alright:) this morning we cleaned and organized the house and it looks BEAUTIFUL. hahaha so yeah, when im married my wife will love me hahaha. also very interesting about that manual change! that's sad that people lack faith in God and don't trust their inspired leaders that God has called. that's why it is important that we always work to do things to increase and strengthen our faith. well mom, i love ya! have a great day!:)
