Week #38, July 13, 2015

............this week was pretty good.  yes we got to work a lot more.  its crazy, we have so many good people progressing, we just need to have them come to church and get baptized now!  haha we had a really cool miracle though.  our buddy andres, he is not going to be living with his girlfriend anymore so he can get baptized!  and his mom is reading the bom and we are really happy.  we met these people from holland that are atheist.  its very interesting.  our lessons are in english . thats weird too. but they are really good people!  they live next door to us so thats pretty convenient. and they showed us what breakfast is in holland.  literally just sprinkles and bread. like cupcake sprinkles.  its so crazy! hahaha my diabetes app. was good. my a1c was just a little high and my doctor told me its because i went from bike to walking so i have to adjust some different things. but he is really happy with me. next time i go back in, it'll be back down and everything will be perfect.

the trek looks like it was really cool!  i can't believe i did that 5 years ago. this week i started reading the book 'our heritage'  it is absolutely wonderful. i love it! i have learned so much about the church's history and i have gained a better appreciation for the pioneers. i'm also reading in mormon right now about the destruction of the nephites. its so sad. i'm glad im finishing that part bc its kinda depressing. well, this week we are gonna kill it.  elder decker and i are doing good. haha oh and a funny story! so yesterday morning, i woke up at 5 in the morning bc my electric heater went off during the night! haha i was cold. but it wasn't worth it to me to turn it back on so i just fell asleep again.  haha that was a lazy moment. oh and dogs keep following us. its ridiculous. but some of them are so funny. i decided im going to have a english bull dog when i am home. i love them. haha ok mom love you have a good week :)

Note from mom. It's been a few weeks sense Colt has sent us pictures. I've been really missing and thinking of him these last few days and prayed this morning for more connections with him somehow. We were very fortunate in his last area with connections with the members sending us pictures often. I was looking on my Facebook account under the 'other' section of my messages and found these two pictures back in February.  I think it was a tender mercy I needed today.  Love that smile.
