Week #69, February 15, 2016

Hey mom!!! its good to hear from you. my week was so great. i LOVE my companions. elder allen and elder farah are my friends for life. we get along so well!! and we work so well together too. ive never laughed more in my life, except maybe when i was with shea hahah. i love shea too. 

i cant believe we are already half way through the change!! time goes by way too fast. this week fresia got baptized!! elder farah is going to send pictures. she is such a sweet woman. and did i say that she reminds me of gma fairbourn? she talks like her , but in spanish ahaha and also she has 10 kids!! it was a good day yesterday. and our sector is insane. we are finding so many people to teach and there are SO many miracles! its fun teaching with 3 people. my testimony is being strengthened so much. im happy than i have ever been in my life:) oh and i have more funny stories.

ok so on thursday we had fresias baptism interview at 5:30. and we were done with a lesson at like 5:10 about, and we almost thought, yeah lets just go to the church to get ready for the interview, but then elder farah was like, no we have like 15 minutes. lets contact this area and find a new person before then. so we went to go do that. we were contacting in the blocks, that are ghetto apartment, and in chile there are these weird spider webs that look like holes and the spiders chill there in the back and wait for a fly to land and then the kill them, ha so we found a HUGE one like the size of a quarter! and we thought, lets find a stick and make it come out! so we did and OH MY GOSH we screamed like little girls bc as soon as elder allen put the stick on it, the spider launched itself out at us! ive never seen that before. we were on the 3rd floor and we ran down to the 2nd to recover from what had happened. and then, we contacted this door on that floor, this nice woman katherine let us in. she wasnt going to bc she said she was eating lunch (who eats lunch at 5pm?) and then we got in and started sharing our message with her and she was so receptive and kind and she had a really pure heart. we explained the reason we baptize and why we go to church and she accepted all of it! and then she prayed to end and she said the sweetest prayer ever! so we are going to pass by her this week and i really hope she gets baptized! and we all learned a really cool lesson bc we could have just gone to the church for the interview, but instead we chose to be diligent and do just a little more and then the Lord blessed us with a miracle! that was a really cool day.

ok now a funny story, so it was 9:15 one night and we have to be in the pension at 930 so we got in a taxi and i told the man, are you down to accept a mission! he was really funny, he said of course! i said get us home in 10 minutes at our house, can you do it?? and he started going way fast and dodging cars and we were talking to him about the funniest things. and we got home on time! it was funny.
