so ive been searching EVERYWHERE for a camera and it looks like they stopped selling cameras in chile. ha retarded right! so yeah idk what to do.
ok embarrassing story! in chile there are a bunch of frases [phrases]
that mean different things. for example pegar la pera which means hit the pear? that means showing up to something without being invited haha. but yeah anyways there are so many! we were talking to this kid 19 years old and we were getting to know him so i asked, where do you work? and he said that he does repairs on califonts. califonts are things to make the shower water hot. and so i wanted to relate with him haha so i mentioned that my califont always turned off back when i was in el monte. and in spanish i said oh mi califont siempre se apagaba and him and elder toneatti started to laugh really hard! and i didnt get it. and then yesterday elder toneatti told me that that is another way of saying you are gay hahhaah so yeah now i understand why they laughed. im an idiot!
also, this week me and elder toneatti were heroes. so there is this house with a lot of people in it and some random dog that chills there. well like 1 and 1/2 weeks ago we show up and the dog wasnt there so i asked, where is your dog? bc i love dogs. and they said it was stolen from the house and they dont know where its at. i was so sad! bc it is a cute dog. its like a midget lab but tiny and black. so yeah we forgot about that until during this week. GUESS WHAT HAPPENED. We were walking in our sector like 5 blocks away from the house, and we found the dog!!! i was so happy. i picked him up and we took him back to his house. the people there are so happy with us right now, we are going to baptize them hahah. and the coolest thing! on friday we passed for their house and the dog loves me now! oh and also when we found him, his 2 front legs were broken. its so sad. thats why we had to carry him back home. he is doing better now. im going to send pictures.
ha so during the week we had 16 people promise to come to church! guess how many came?? ONE. oh man that was sad. but hopefully this week we get people in church. franci is getting baptized on the 30 now! she is awesome. i love her family. this week they tell us if we have changes or no! i hope i stay!! also i ate lunch with obispo moreira [Bishop Moreira] that was fun. i love that man:) love you guys!
