Letter from the mission president on 8/15/2015
HELLO. Yes, im training its the best thing ever!! haha his name is Elder Da´Costa Gomez from HONDURAS. he is the only one in the mission from there! and he is just like a polynesian and he is super funny. we laugh so much. and elder decker is training a kid from ecuador so we eat lunch every day together and man its a good time! in the morning we made more banana bread and i had to organize stuff bc we just moved into a new house. its the old house of the assistants and it is muy muy cuica. its super rich! i love it! and no spiders or anything! haha but my comp is solid. he has so much faith and is so good at contacting literally everyone we see its awesome! we just had a family home evening with an investigador and it was so spiritual! its kinda cool bc we have tried putting a date to get baptized with him and he is scared and he wasnt progressing too much, but yeah we brought him over for a fhe and he felt the spirit so much and he was even crying! (side note though that doesnt automatically mean you feel the spirit. you can feel it and not cry too) haha so yeah we now have half of the sector and its where all the rich people live! hahah but we love it and man im sure lucky with all the companions ive had in my mission. they are all my best friends! i cant believe i turn 19 its so crazy!! i LOVED the 2 packages it was fun to open them, and everybody who wrote me, THANK YOU im so grateful. im just so stoked to be training! its so different bc i have so much more responsibility and i have absolutely no idea what im doing! so i think thats how parents feel when they have kids hahah. but its a lot of fun. life is good, the gospel is true! and also family home evening is something small that does a lot. everybody should do it. thanks mom i love you!!:)
